Philips is embracing the 3D world with their new 52″ 1080p 3D TV. Philips is planning on revealing a new 52″ 3D display at InfoComm later in the month. The new display will sport the WOWx technology, as well as 700 cd/m2 brightbess and a 2000:1 contrast with 8 milliseconds of response time.
WOWvx tech is designed to add a sense of depth to a picture - to make it feel like you can look around a little. Footage is translated into nine different views and rendered by the display itself.
The TV will be available for consumer purchase sometime during or after Q4 this year. Source
