Buffalo introduces 8x Blu-ray burner

buffalo_blueray Buffalo introduces 8x Blu-ray burner

Most of us are still not able to get our hands on a PC based blu-ray reader, and Buffalo has already launched an 8X blu-ray burner. At this moment , the maximum speed blu-ray media is 6x so 8x is kind of an overkill.

The external BR-816SU2 has both USB 2.0 and eSata interfaces. The maximum recording speed of 8x can be achieved only when the drive is connected through the eSATA interface. Cyberlink’s PowerDVD 7 software suite will be bundled in the retail packages of the drives, which are expected to be available for 46,700 Yen (£217) and 41,000 Yen (£191) for the external and internal versions respectively.
