Toshiba has just announced that it’s expanding its small form factor hard disk drives with three new high-capacity, high-performance SATA HDDs, including the industry’s first 250GB 1.8-inch HDD. You got it right, your future laptop could be featured with one of these just-introduced, small-sized SATA hard disk drives, providing you with an impressive 250GB of storage space.
The new hard disk models come approximately one week after Toshiba introduced the 1.8-inch 240GB PATA hard drives. “Toshiba’s dedication and focus on 1.8-inch HDD product development over the past decade has enabled us to continually drive innovation in this form factor - from robust capacity introductions to improved performance and power efficiency,” said Maciek Brzeski, vice president of marketing at Toshiba Storage Device Division. “Thanks to these continual advancements, 1.8-inch HDDs have become an ideal form factor for the digital world, where the ability to handle rich digital content in a mobile environment is king .”
So far, the company hasn’t revealed the pricing and availability details for the new 2.5-inch SATA HDDs with 250GB of storage space.
