Taiwan’s Asus aims to move the Eee PC line upscale with its slim and light S101, which is in some respects better than a MacBook Air for a fraction of the price. As I reported earlier, S101 is going to give Apple Air a real run for money.

Engadget team recently got their hands on an S101 and shot a few pictures that show just how thin this high end Eee PC model is. Not that the original Eee PC 701 was a fatty at 1.4 inches thick. But the S101 is just 1.1 inches thick at its widest, and Asus has used a few visual tricks to make the high-end netbook look even thinner.
