MINOX has introduced a new DCM digiscoping system that combines a digital camera, video, monitor, and eyepiece in one package for taking photos and digital video through a high-power scope. The optics of the system work like a regular digital camera and the LCD is a 2 3/8″ unit with high-resolution color graphics.
The entire system weighs under a pound and measures 2 5/8″ x 2 1/4″ x 3/4″. Resolution for the digital camera is 5MP. The system is the camera and LCD portion only; you have to attach it to your own scope. It will work with several different scopes including those from Zeiss, Lecia, and MINOX. The water resistant camera unit has 128MB of internal memory and uses SD cards with power from rechargeable batteries. The camera kit retails for $399.
