Turn your iPod Touch into a phone free

ipod_devices Turn your iPod Touch into a phone free

You can now make free calls on your iPod Touch. That’s right, we said iPod Touch! And free!

The new Truphone for the iPod Touch application works on the 2nd generation iPod Touch and enables you to make free calls to other Truphone or Google Talk users from any Wi-Fi zone, using your iPod Touch’s internet connection and a headphone with mic, or mic adapter. Tell your friends - if you both install Truphone you can call each other for free using your iPod Touch and your local wireless access point. Not a phone (or phone bill) in sight. Truphone for the iPod Touch is free to download from the iTunes App Store and once you’ve installed it all you need to start making free calls on your iPod Touch is a headset with microphone and headphones, which you can buy at electronic retailers or the Apple Store.
