MSI Technology announced in Las Vegas the debut of its X-Slim X340, the world’s first ultra-light, ultra-thin notebook equipped with Intel’s CULV platform. Weighing in at 1.3kg and 19.8mm at its thickest point, this elegantly beautiful machine drew numerous members of the media. This X-Slim Series is refined and chic and comes with fully functional I/O ports and displays, surprising many in the industry. As MSI kicks off its own brand name this year, the X-Slim X340 fully demonstrates its ability to integrate classic elegance with advanced technology, illustrating MSI’s power and aspirations as it establishes a global presence.
MSI X-Slim Series consists of the X340, of which the X-Slim X340 comes equipped with the Intel CULV platform and Intel SU3500 CULV processor which consumes only 5.5w of power along. It also uses an ultra-light 4-cell Li-polymer battery for extended battery life.Don’t let the size fool you. The X340 comes with fully functional I/O support. The X340 supports WiMAX. The X340 has two built-in 2.0 USB ports, HDMI, audio output, a microphone jack, a D-Sub Video Out, a LAN port, and a card reader. The microphone jack can also serve as a second audio output to enhance the convenience of this machine.
